SCVO - Carers Act Transformation Support (Fund)

The Carers Act Transformation Support (CATS) Fund, funded by the Scottish Government, will give third sector organisations the opportunity to apply for small grants to improve their capacity to implement the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016. Round 2 of this fund will focus on supporting third sector organisations who have a role in local implementation of the Act the opportunity to apply for small grants to purchase hardware/software to improve their capacity to do so. The fund will also consider applications for refreshing website functionality.

As you may know Social Security Scotland will be making payments to Scotland's Carers this month.

Due to high volumes of referrals The Fife Self Harm Project will be closing the waiting list temporarily as of 28 August 2018. 

They are unable to offer face to face support at the moment but can send literature that may be of use. 

They will update via the Fife Voluntary Action website when they are in a position to open referrals again.

Since 2010, Scotland has been on a journey to embed self-directed support as Scotland’s mainstream approach to social care. Audit Scotland produced a progress report in 2017 recommending that the Scottish Government should "report publicly on the outcomes it has achieved from the almost £70 million funding it has committed to support implementation of SDS."
