Devon Way from Tillicoultry to Alloa 03-06-2024

The distance covered Distance covered is 7.0998 miles round trip according to gmap-pedometer.com/ I have done some of this walk before but from Dollar to near where the woodland part of the path ends then onto the paths through the town of Alloa. This time though I started at a car park next to a part of the Devon Way that goes through Tillicoultry. From here I follow Google stat-nav to almost were it says that the Devon Way finishes. At least no more shows on the Google stat-nav from that point. I am turning around here which maybe silly because as far as I can see on the maps I`m using the Devon Way seems to end no to far away. There is another path not far away, from where the Devon Way seems to finish. It`s called Alloa Waggonway, but as far as I can see on gmap-pedometer.com/ and Google maps it doesn`t seem to go very far. However, there dose seems to be quite a few other paths around it, though not connected directly. The map images are from www.gmap-pedometer.com but edited by me.

The walk/video is around 1 hour 38 minutes long When I did this walk it was raining and a bit cold. Later in the summer I might do this walk again, just to see the differance with more leaves on the trees and hopefully dryer. Though I think this would be the only reason for me doing the walk again. The walk is some distance from where I live.

Morton Lochs Nature Reserve 08-06-2024

I have no maps of the area. I tried to get some but the maps of the area looked different to when I was there. The car park looked like it was in the wrong place and there was nothing pertaining to the paths around the nature reserve which I had went around. Though the path around part of the Nature Reserve were quite good though some were confusing. There was no paths that I found around the body’s of water, certainly not for me on my M-scooter. Afterwards I headed to the Tentsmuir Forest car park by road which I videoed using my cars dash cam, which I have added at the end of this video

There seems to be quite a few paths up the Glen but even the entrance directly from the car has steps. But I did find one path near the entrance to the car park. This leads in part to a viewing point overlooking a waterfall. There are more paths from there, but are not accessible for my M-Scooter.

At the Dysart Harbour end of Ravenscraig Park I noticed that fences have been put up since the last time I was here, it seems that this is due to the coastal erosion of the beach. It`s possible that the next time that I visit here there might no longer be access to the Dysart Harbour from here.

The North Side of Harrin Hill 09/10/2023

I have occasional went up Harran Hill on my mobility scooter but there comes a point in the path were my scooter just does not have the power to go up. This is the furthest point along the Lochore Meadows side of the hill where there is a speed incline to the left at the top. I have often wondered what is beyond the incline. Well, the last time I went up Lochore Meadows side of the hill I had a look at google map on my phone and found out that there was an entrance to the other side from Hill Road. The road that runs along the South side of Benarty Hill, joining Ballingry with Kelty. Once I had finished my ramble around the Meadows I thought that I would have a look at the Hill Road entrance to Harran Hill to see if it was accessible from my mobility scooter to access, and it seemed to be though until I entered it I would not know how far along the path I would be able to get until I tried it.

Fordell Woods is just south of the town of Crossgates and north of Dalgety Bay in Fife, Scotland. The woods also contain Fordell Castle. This is just one of a few entrances into Fordell Woods, which also takes you to Fordell Castle.

My wife and I went for a short Break in Dundee at the beginning of May 2019. We are both disabled and we have found that the Travelodge, Strathmore Avenue mostly suits us and it has a casual restaurant/bar, though very basic we find it ok when we aren't up to going out for a meal.
