FVA lunchtime learning sessions are aimed at raising the skills and capacities of local service providers interested in improving or enhancing their provision in Fife.

Fife Law Centre is a charity providing free legal advice and representation for the people of Fife who need it most, including assistance with unmet legal need and access to justice and representation at formal hearings such as court appearances and tribunals.

At this session, Sam Johnston, Principal Solicitor for Fife Law Centre will introduce us to Fife Law Centre’s practice and tell us about:

  • The individuals supported by Fife Law Centre
  • The range of legal problems that Fife Law Centre can help with, including:
    • Criminal injuries compensation applications
    • Eviction notices, mortgage arrears and repossession, and related housing issues
    • Benefits appeals and tribunals
    • Low level employment matters and Scottish Social Services Council investigations
