CyberScotlandWeek 2025 is taking place from 24 February – 2 March!
It will see individuals, organisations and communities across Scotland coming together to raise awareness of cyber security and strengthen our collective cyber resilience.
This year’s theme, Can’t hack it?!?, is about the everyday actions we can all take to improve our cyber resilience.
With just under two weeks to go, we wanted to share some of the fantastic events and activity our Partners across Scotland are planning to mark CyberScotland Week.
Monday 24 February
Start your cyber resilience journey today: Help your third sector organisation stay safe online will be co-hosted by SCVO and ScotlandIS on 24 February in Stirling. The half-day event is tailored specifically for third sector organisations looking to help their organisation stay safe online.
6 actions for staying safe online is a webinar taking place on 24 February from Lead Scotland that will share six simple actions for staying safe online.
Tuesday 25 February
Prepare for the inevitable: Build a cyber incident response plan today is an interactive online session taking place on 25 February. The event will help organisations build a cyber plan using SCVO’s new easy-to-use template.
Lead Scotland’s Phishing scams webinar will show you all you need to recognise phishing scams, as well as how to use clever digital tools to help keep you safe online. It will take place on 25 February.
Keeping Children Safe Online will be hosted online by Police Scotland on 25 February. The event will be hosted by Police Scotland’s Cybercrime Harm Prevention Team, in partnership with Parenting Across Scotland.
Wednesday 26 February
The SCVO Digital Change Community Meet Up will take place online on 26 February. This is one in a series of meet-ups for digital change-makers, leads, and enthusiasts. This will be a supportive and energising space for us to share our experiences and best practices developed in the digital delivery and digital evolution space, with a focus on cyber.
YouthLink Scotland is hosting Cracking Cryptography online on 26 February. This is a virtual session which introduces cryptography and its application across digital industries and career roles. The session will be tailored for youth workers, to give an opportunity to get involved and try it out for yourselves.
Thursday 27 February
Building cyber resilience in social services 2025 is a free online event to help improve cyber resilience across Scotland, run by the Scottish Social Services Council. This event will be of interest to individuals and organisations involved in the delivery of social work, social care, children and young people and housing services.
Friday 28 February
How to cope in a data breach will do what it says on the tin. This session from Lead Scotland looks at how you can reduce the risk of being involved in a data breach, and what to do if you are. Putting in place some simple actions now can make a big difference when it comes to being resilient in the face of a data breach. It will take place on 28 February.
