Michael Hildrew from Cosy Kingdom will give participants a detailed overview of issues around fuel poverty in Fife, including what fuel poverty is, how to identify the signs, and how Cosy Kingdom's energy advice service supports people in Fife.

 

Lunchtime Learning - Supporting people with sight loss at work

It is often assumed that those managing sight loss will struggle to find or remain in employment and at this session Heather Barbara from the Royal National Institute for Blind People will help us understand the realities and adaptations needed for employees with sight loss.

Drop in to find out what it's like to volunteer at the shop and the benefits of volunteering.

 

 

Fife Employment Access Trust - New volunteering programme at Silverburn

The programme consists of an initial four-week structure during which volunteers will be trained in the basics of working in either the Silverburn campsite or café. Participants will benefit from supervised support and practical activities to gain skills that will help them get paid employment. 

 

 

The Fall Cafe - A social group for adults

The Fall Cafe is a social cafe where everybody is welcome, there are light craft activities every week, and refreshments are provided. The cafe starts on Monday 23 September 2024 and runs every Monday thereafter.

Fife Carers Centre - Living with Loss

Wednesday 18 September, 10.30-12.30, Kirkcaldy

These sessions are available for carers who are bereaved, as well as those who are grieving for the person they care for before their passing, due to conditions such as dementia, MS, stroke, or any other progressive illnesses.

 

 

OnFife - Screening of Singin' In The Rain for people with dementia and their carers

Saturday 21 September, from 1.30, Dunfermline

The screening offers those living with dementia a chance to see the film in a relaxed and friendly environment where the lights are turned up and the sound is turned down.
