Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 - Training Webinars

There are a range of upcoming changes resulting from the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Before the changes come into place, Volunteer Scotland is running a wide range of training webinars to update your knowledge and ensure that you and your organisation are meeting legal requirements. 

For each training course there are a range of weekday, weekend, daytime, and evening sessions available. All sessions take place online.

From 01 April 2025, the following changes and updates will be implemented: 

  • PVG scheme becomes a legal requirement 
  • PVG scheme membership grace period 
  • Trustee roles will require a PVG scheme 
  • Changes to definition of age: children and protected adults 
  • New requirements for applicants 
  • Applicant's ScotAccount journey 
  • Notifying Disclosure Scotland when details change

The forum provides a platform for management-level carers' providers from third sectors in Fife to share knowledge, insights, keep informed of the latest development, and influence positive changes in the carers' sector.

Mental Health Forum - March 2026

Membership of the Forum is open to all staff and trustees with constituted third sector organisations operating in the Fife area in the field of health and social care (i.e. it's not just for organisations that focus entirely on mental health).

The Fife Employability Forum is held quarterly and brings together staff and managers involved in employability services from all sectors - aiming to help organisations to work together to improve employment outcomes for people in Fife.
