Our senior improvement adviser (pharmacy), David Marshall, and colleagues from HC One, have collaborated on a quality improvement project to improve dementia care and reduce inappropriate psychoactive medication for people living with dementia.
A podcast series of this work has been released, with very positive feedback. In the first episode, you can hear how one gentleman went from palliative care to having a new lease of life.
Cohort 3 of this programme started in July and we're working with 10 care homes from Scotland, three from England and three from Wales.
