Our forum is open to any third sector organisation working within the health and social care sector in Fife. This forum will provide a platform for management-level carer providers from third and public sectors in Fife to share knowledge and insights, stay informed, access training and education opportunities, advocate for caregivers, and influence positive changes.

LinkLiving - Step On Pre-Employability Programme

Step On is a pre-employability programme offered by LinkLiving for 16–19 year-olds in Kirkcaldy. Participants have the opportunity to work on self-development, improve mental health, and gain employability skills with the help of a dedicated development worker. 

The programme runs for 14 weeks, starting on Monday 28 April 2025.

Fife International Forum - SQA ESOL Programme for Parents

Fife International Forum now offers a new SQA in English for Speakers of Other Langugages (ESOL) Programme for Parents called 'Build language skills for employment'.

This programme will equip the parents with essential communication skills and boost their confidence, opening doors to future job opportunities.

Lead Scotland - Digital Skills training for Adult Carers

The project supports unpaid adult carers who are aged 16 and over. Support can be given on equipment already owned or an equipment loan can be offered if the carer doesn't own any equipment or would like to try something new.

The Worker Education Association’s - Introduction to the Digital Office

The Worker Education Association's Introduction to the Digital Office course provides an opportunity to earn an SQA Core Skills Award in IT at Level 4.

The course explores how to use cloud-based apps on Microsoft 365 effectively and efficiently.

Barnardo's JOBS Project

This is a 10-week employability course hosted in collaboration with Amazon in Dunfermline, which can offer a supported route into paid employment.

It is geared towards those who are 18-29 years old who are currently not in employment, education, or training, and may face barriers to opportunities. The course starts on 07 May 2025.

Moments in Time Dementia-Friendly Sessions

Moments in Time is a dementia-friendly group run by OnFife that brings people together to chat and reminisce over a cuppa. 

The next set of sessions will be held in the 'Pub Reminiscence Pod' at Methil Heritage Centre, starting on 15 May.

Mentally Healthy Workplace Training

Mentally Healthy Workplace training has been developed by NHS Healthy Working Lives specifically for managers and supervisors because of their crucial role in supporting the health and wellbeing of employees.

The training includes good practice in promoting positive mental health and wellbeing and practical examples of how to support employees experiencing mental health problems.

Pint of Science is an international science festival that happens annually over three evenings in May.
