Fife’s Health and Social Care Partnership (FHSCP) has launched a new look website which showcases a range of initiatives which have been developed to help bring care closer to home and support independent living for longer.
April 2016 triggered one of the biggest transformations of health and social care services in Scotland. From the national drive to have health and social care services delivered jointly, locally and as effectively as possible, the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership (FHSCP) was created. Fife is one of the largest Health and Social Care Partnerships in Scotland, next to Edinburgh and Glasgow, with around 5,000 staff and a joint budget of over £470 million.
Since the start of the Partnership, work has been ongoing to join together NHS Fife and Fife Council Social Work Services to support Fifers to live healthy and more independent lives.
With the pace of change and the vast range of activities going on within and across services in the FHSCP, the new website is the place to keep up-to-date with what’s happening.
Michael Kellet, Director of the Fife Health and Social Care Partnership, said: “There’s a wealth of information on our new website - from the latest news and details about the various projects the Partnership is leading on across Fife and what’s happening in your local community, to blogs from me and others which people can subscribe to. Integration is the biggest change in the history of health and social care and teams across the services are at the heart of making positive change for local people and local communities more of a reality, each and every day. I encourage the public to check out the Change Projects section which features real life case studies, as well as In Your Community where there are videos to give a quick guide on our very newest initiative at local level, which includes the voices of GP’s, partners in the voluntary and independent sector and many, many more.”
