Care Academy Recruitment Event

Lunchtime Learning - Disability Confident and the Role of the Disability Employment Advisor

At this session, Susanne McGrath and Michell Milne from the Department for Work and Pensions will help us understand what the scheme is, how their advisors can support disabled people into work, and how to use a disability passport to support employees in the workplace or in the recruitment of new staff.

A new life in a new country can be daunting to navigate and at this session Alison Smith, Manager from Fife International Forum, will help us understand the most common challenges facing newly arrived individuals and families from overseas, how to help someone through the benefits system, and how language barriers can be overcome.
