Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards 2026

Nominations for this year's Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards are open!

The awards celebrate the outstanding individuals and organisations that do truly exceptional work and fully deserve special recognition.

The awards are the highlight of the year for volunteering in Fife. We'd love to hear your success stories and shine a light on the role of Fife's brilliant volunteers and voluntary organisations.

Our celebrations this year will be held at the Rothes Halls, Glenrothes on Tuesday 02 June. Those shortlisted for awards will receive an invitation to the ceremony, along with the person who nominated them.

Guide to Voting in the Scottish Parliamentary Election 2026 for Fife

The Scottish Parliament election will take place on Thursday 07 May 2026. Polling stations will open at 7.00am and close at 10.00pm. 

We have created a guide to registering and placing votes in this election for you and/or your service users. Click here to read the PDF. 

We also have a guide for people with disabilities as there is a wide range of support and adjustments available to help everyone place their vote - click here.

Anyone who lives in Scotland and is registered to vote is eligible, as long as they are 16 or over on the day of the poll and have not been legally excluded from voting (for example, because they are serving a prison sentence of longer than 12 months).

The last date to apply to be registered for this election is Monday 20 April 2026.

The forum will be chaired by our Chief Executive Kenny Murphy who will bring some timely and important updates from Fife Health & Social Care Partnership about funding and more.

We'll also introduce three guest speakers and presentations, including one on coaching staff in our sector and a presentation from the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Lunchtime Learning - Access to Work and Disability Confident

Thursday 16 April 12.00 - 1.00pm, online

Access to Work can help individuals get or stay in work if they have a physical or mental health condition or disability. This can include grants that may help with additional costs beyond “reasonable adjustments”. It can also help support to manage mental health at work.
