When: 1.30 - 3.30pm, Wednesday 28 March 2018
Where: Common Room, Education Centre, Level 2, Queen Margaret Hospital, Whitefield Road, Dunfermline, KY12 0SU
This event is being organised by The ALLIANCE
A new contract for GPs has been agreed. This new contract is part of wider primary care transformation to ensure that GPs can spend more time with the patients who need them most. This will be enabled by an expansion of the team of healthcare professionals working in general practice (such as practice nurses, physiotherapists and pharmacists) so patients can access the right person at the right time. The ALLIANCE are looking for you views on how these changes can be made to work.
Who is this event for?
This workshop is aimed at gathering input from those who use GP services and are interested in giving their views on the new GP contract.
What will this event involve?
This event is one of five happening in different areas on the same day. These will all be connected by video link, giving you an opportunity to hear presentations on what the new contract is and how it will work. You will also be able to share your views with others and contribute to a conversation between people in different areas.
You will be asked for your views on how this could improve your experiences with GP services; concerns you might have about the changes; and how you would like people to be involved in the implementation of the changes.
Outputs and recommendations from this engagement will be presented to the Scottish Government for consideration in ongoing discussions around the GP contract. The ALLIANCE will continue to make the case for these outputs in interactions with Scottish Government throughout the development of the GP contract.
