The design guidance for care homes for adults Building Better Care Homes is currently under review. At this time we are continuing to consider learning from the pandemic, research findings, and linking with key agencies to support the review of the guidance.
Following our communication to you on this in January 2021, we would like to remind you that any revised version you may have seen is still in draft format. The revised guidance will not be implemented until it has been finalised, following consultation with the adult care home sector and other stakeholders. The current guidance which can be viewed here remains in place until that time.
We want everyone with an interest in care homes for adults to have the opportunity to take part in our consultation. We will update you in due course, to let you know how you can get involved.
When the time comes, we hope you can take part and we look forward to engaging with you.
