Mental Health Forum

Thursday 05 December, 2.00-4.00, Caledonia House Glenrothes

Mental health is an increasing focus for service providers, policy-makers, funders, the media, and citizens. Adverse mental health affects most people during their lifetime and it can have a major impact on people, families and communities.

Membership of the Forum is open to all staff and trustees with constituted third sector organisations operating in the Fife area in the field of health and social care (i.e. it's not just for organisations that focus entirely on mental health).

Health and Social Care Forum

Thursday 12 December, 10.00-12.00, Caledonia House Glenrothes

Our forum in December will be host to a special Mental Health Awareness at Work training session from Healthy Working Lives.

This course would suit managers/supervisors who are interested in exploring mental health and wellbeing and finding out how both can be supported at work.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define mental health, mental wellbeing and mental illness
  • Understand stigma and discrimination
  • Review the mental health continuum
  • Realise that the workplace can contribute to/impact mental health
  • Explore positive steps to mental wellbeing
  • Consider the manager/supervisor's role in supporting a mentally healthy workplace
