Volunteering Development Summit 2026

Fife's Volunteering Development Summit offers an engaging learning and development opportunity for anyone in the third sector who involves, supports, and manages volunteers in Fife.

Come along to hear the latest updates on volunteering development, take part in hot topic discussions to ensure your voice is heard, and make connections with other volunteer coordinators and managers. Learn about strategies, tools, frameworks and resources which you can use to improve and enhance your practice.

We'll be joined by a variety of experts in power of attorney from the public and third sectors who can help attendees understand what power of attorney is, why it's important, support services that are available, and financial advice.

Understanding Universal Credit

At this session, Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) will help participants understand how employability practitioners can continue to support those who are now on Universal Credit in terms of application, online access, and making queries about benefit decisions.

DWP Connect

DWP Connect is a Know Your Network-style event at which participants will find out more about multiple individual Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) projects and services via the ever-popular table hops. 

PVG/Disclosure - Introductory Session

Following the updates from the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, the course will provide up-to-date information on different types of disclosure checks, regulated roles, how to process checks, and safe recruitment.

Top Tips On Completing Funding Applications

This session is about successfully completing funding applications and will guide you to effectively find appropriate funders and funding opportunities, understand funders’ priorities, and construct compelling proposals that meet application criteria. 

Voluntary Sector Children‘s Services Forum - May

The Forum meets regularly to provide updates, networking opportunities, problem solve, respond to consultations, raise concerns for representatives/FVA to progress and to get updates from FVA and representatives about what's happening at the many partnerships, networks and groups across the Children's Services Partnership in Fife and beyond.

Carers' Providers Forum

This forum provides a platform for management-level carer providers from Fife's third sector to network, discuss ideas, share best practice, and much more.

The Befriending Forum is an opportunity for members to share learning, develop positive working relationships, and gain support. This is an open invitation for all befriending support services within Fife.

Mental Health Forum

Membership of the Forum is open to all staff and trustees with constituted third sector organisations operating in the Fife area in the field of health and social care (i.e. it's not just for organisations that focus entirely on mental health).

Fife Carers Centre: Unpaid Carers Conference

This year's Carers Week theme is Carer Friendly Communities, and that theme sits at the heart of this event. You'll explore what it means to build communities where carers are seen, supported, and valued, and what more needs to happen across Fife to make that a reality.

The day will include interactive workshops and talks from organisations working alongside carers, with plenty of opportunity to share your own experiences and hear from others.

LinkLiving: Step On Starting in August

LinkLiving have announced that referrals are now open for the Step On course in Kirkcaldy, which begins at the end of August, with another cohort running in January 2027.

Any referrals received by LinkLiving will be added to their waiting lists and they will reach out at the end of July to arrange an initial meeting.
